Capacity Detail

Detailed view of a single capacity — SKU info, memory usage, alerts, CU consumption trend, and all items table.

Overview

When you click a capacity card on the Capacities Dashboard, you open the detail page for that specific capacity. This page gives you a full picture of the capacity's health, resource usage, and all items assigned to it.

Summary Cards

Four cards are displayed at the top of the page, in this order: SKU, Memory Usage, Alerts, and Total Datasets.

SKU

Shows the capacity's SKU code (e.g., F64, P1) and its tier label — Fabric, Premium, Embedded, Azure, or Trial — along with the SKU's memory limit in GB.

Memory Usage

Shows memory usage as a percentage with a colored progress bar and the estimated GB used out of the SKU's memory limit, based on the standard SKU specification. The percentage and bar turn amber at 80% and red at 95%.

Alerts

Shows the count of active alerts. If there are no alerts, a green checkmark appears with "No active alerts."

A gear icon in the top-right corner opens the Configure Thresholds dialog where you can customize alert trigger points:

ThresholdDefaultRange
Memory Warning (%)8050 – 95
Memory Critical (%)9580 – 100
Daily CU Warning (%)8050 – 100

Thresholds are saved locally in your browser and persist across sessions.

Total Datasets

Shows the total number of datasets on this capacity, with a sub-label showing the count of distinct workspaces.

CU Consumption Trend

A bar chart showing daily CU consumption over time.

Time Period

Use the 7d / 14d / 30d / 60d / 90d toggle above the chart to change the window.

  • Up to 14 days is fetched live from Fabric Capacity Metrics (the backend caps the live query at 14 days).
  • Longer windows (30d / 60d / 90d) are assembled by merging locally accumulated CU history with live data. In this mode the chart shows a "Historical Data" badge and a caption noting how many days of local history and live data are included.
  • Local history builds up over time as the app collects data. If not enough history has accumulated yet for an extended window, a note reads "Extended history not yet available. Data collection started and will accumulate over time."

Summary Statistics

Displayed above the chart bars:

StatDescription
Total CUSum of all CU seconds for the period (formatted as hours, minutes, or seconds)
Daily AvgAverage daily CU consumption
Peak DayHighest single-day CU (shown in orange)
vs Last WeekWeek-over-week percent change, shown only when 14+ days of data are available; amber if usage rose, green if it fell

The Chart

Each day is represented by a vertical bar. The peak day is highlighted in orange. Hover over any bar to see:

  • Date
  • CU consumption (formatted)
  • Number of operations

All Items

A searchable, sortable table of every item on the capacity.
